Cathy Lancia - Meet My Family

Vince and I have been married since 1973.
We met at City Hall in downtown Toronto at the skating rink at City Hall
during the Christmas holidays of 1969.
Vince owns and operates Kennisis
Contracting in this area and has helped me in assessing the
condition of many of the cottages/homes I work with.

We have three children. Laura married Tom in Italy in 2004. Tom is of Polish
decent, who works actively in Internet Security. He and Laura keep my computer
equipment in “state of the art” condition with the newest software available. The
newest addition to our family is their baby boy, Logan, born June 2006. He is bright and busy doing something new every day. He will be 2 this year. This little guy has captured our hearts.
Sharon is in Lindsay, teaching on the Trillium Lakeland’s District School Board. Her grade 4/5 class this year is challenging all of her talents. She is very vibrant and I am sure her students are very fortunate to have such an energetic, young teacher. Andrew is her
fiancé. and comes from Harwood, Ontario. We have enjoyed watching these two grow together.

Peter is our 24 year old son, who is working full time with his father in the construction business. He is energetic and learns fast. He is friendly and good with clients and we hope he will take over the business in the next 3 years.

Last on the list is our famous family dog – Z. She is named after one of Vince’s
snowmobiles, a Mach Z. Although she is full of life, she has worked her way into our hearts. She is good company for Peter.
2007 – 2008 was a Great Winter. We enjoyed lots of snowmobile expeditions. As
usual we sponsored a Cabin in Haliburton Forest, for the annual Haliburton Forest and Wildlife
Reserve “Poker Run”! In March of 2008 we, as a family visited our “Exchange Daughter” in
Switzerland and her family. Rebekka and Peter just got married last Summer and have a new
baby. Our Italian Exchange Daughter came for 3 days too. We all went for March Break.
Tobogganing down the Swiss Alps was one of the greatest experiences of our visit. The
following week, Sharon & Andrew returned to work and Vince, myself and Peter went to
Poland to visit my son in law’s parents. We went to the the salt mines, Auschwitz and
Krakow. Poland is still struggling to rebuild after World War 2. The shopping was great and
very inexpensive. Mom turns 88 in April and is doing well in Scarborough. We try to see her
often. We will be busy this year planning for a wedding in 2009
We hope you have enjoyed this introduction, and look forward to hearing from you.
